Meanwhile, short-term stream Temporary Skilled Shortage ('TSS') visa holders were only permitted to stay temporarily in Australia without a pathway to permanent residency. Some examples of occupations under the short-term stream include: - Cooks - Café and Restaurant Managers - Sales and Marketing Managers - Finance Managers - Retail Pharmacists   ### **WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE CHANGES!** If you hold a subclass 457 or 482 visa and working in an occupation on the *Short Term Occupation List*, you may be able to apply for permanent residence under the 186 ENS migration program. Only limited details have been released, however if you hold a 482 visa, and have been in Australia for at least 12 months between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021, and are currently employed in Australia, the changes may apply to you!   Most changes are due to come into effect 1 July 2022. But for 457 visa holders, these changes come into effect immediately!
